Paddle for Life - 10-person Boats / Ridgefield, WA

Event information

This event has passed.

This is an amateur dragon boating competition to support women in Clark County who have experienced breast cancer.  It is also a means to introduce and educate the public about dragon boating as a way to promote cultural awareness, enhance diversity, and serve the local community.

RACE DAY:  Races will be on a 250-meter course. Teams will be arriving early to check-in, set-up and get warmed up.  Please keep an eye out for emails from the coach for the day and/or the race manager regarding the logistics of the day.  Race brackets will be available closer to the festival date. Racing will go fast, so be ready! There will be a drawing for cool items, and vendors. The best racing is always at the end, so plan on staying all day! The awards ceremony will begin 30 minutes after the last race ends and the boats are put away.

PETS: Please be mindful that this event is for everyone, including pets! Pets should be on a leash, do not bring pets down by the water where people are racing, and please ensure you clean up after your pet. Let’s make sure everyone has a good time!

PARKING: There are plenty of parking spaces at Lake River! Volunteers will direct you to the appropriate place to park in the grass. Parking is free, but donations are always welcome!
